How is the Skystream doing? Any concerns or disappointments since installation? We are looking at purchasing the same turbine, but would like end-user satisfaction reports before doing so.
Steve, At this time we can't offer you much data. In fact, just today we ordered monitoring equipment for both systems. So, give us a month and we'll have something. By that time, the wind speeds in this area will have picked up as well. It certainly spins freely even in low wind speeds and it's pretty quite. So far, the higher the wind speed, the quieter it gets!
This is outstanding! I live in Illinois as well, but farther south. I am very actively looking for information on a dealer of the 3.7 in my area. How is it performing? How is the energy bill looking after the install? Many more questions but I'll let you respond to these first. Thanks.
my name is Joshua Janes and I installed a Skystream 3.7 out in Ohio, my wife and I are 2 posts below you on the Skystream Testimonials page.
I don't mean to both you, but after only two months our Skystream failed and will no longer restart. We contacted Southwest Wind Power and they assured us they would send out parts immediately, but we have now been waiting for over a month and are very disappointed.
I have spoke to 3 other people that have had problems and I am just compiling a record to see how wide spread this is. I'd appreciate any information that you would be willing to share.
If you visit my site I have a podcast discussing our problem with Southwest Wind Power.
